{"id":4010,"date":"2023-12-14T13:36:55","date_gmt":"2023-12-14T13:36:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/asociacionhuelvaport.com\/the-port-of-huelva-receives-the-call-of-the-vessel-levante-lng\/"},"modified":"2024-02-02T13:38:03","modified_gmt":"2024-02-02T13:38:03","slug":"the-port-of-huelva-receives-the-call-of-the-vessel-levante-lng","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/asociacionhuelvaport.com\/en\/the-port-of-huelva-receives-the-call-of-the-vessel-levante-lng\/","title":{"rendered":"The Port of Huelva receives the call of the vessel &#8220;Levante LNG&#8221;."},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>The vessel, built by Scale Gas, a subsidiary of Enagas, is destined for the #bunkering of liquefied natural gas and has a capacity of 12,500 cubic metres.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The Port of Huelva has welcomed the first call of the vessel &#8220;Levante LNG&#8221;, owned by Peninsula and Scale Gas, a subsidiary of Enagas, to load liquefied natural gas (LNG) to be supplied in the area of the Strait of Gibraltar, within the framework of the &#8220;LNGhive2 ALgeciras&#8221; project, led by Puertos del Estado within the European Union&#8217;s Connecting Europe Facilities transport aid programme.<\/p>\n<p>Three years ago, the European Commission signed a grant agreement with Enag\u00e1s and the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras giving the green light to co-finance the construction of the first ship dedicated 100% to the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the Port of Algeciras, the &#8220;Levante LNG&#8221;. It has a gross tonnage of 10,512 tonnes and a deadweight of 8,459 tonnes. Its dimensions are 133 metres long and 22 metres wide, with a capacity to hold 12,500 cubic metres of cargo.<\/p>\n<p>The Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, located in Ulsan, South Korea, has been commissioned to build the vessel. This project has received funding from the European Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) and is part of the CORE LNGHive2 programme, which aims to decarbonise maritime transport. This will be the second LNG bunkering vessel in the service of Scale Gas.<\/p>\n<p>Information by: <a
