This operation reinforces the positioning of the Port of Huelva as a reference port in the new energy transition scenario.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Port of Huelva has been the first destination in the Iberian Peninsula to receive the first LNG unloading by the trading company Mercuria. From the US LNG export terminal of Sabine Pass, it is the first port of call. This operation reinforces the positioning of the Port of Huelva as a reference port in the new global energy transition scenario. <\/p>\n

The president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, thanked Mercuria, the ship’s captain, Enag\u00e1s and the shipping company Next Maritime for having chosen the port of Huelva for this important operation. Santana also stressed that the Port of Huelva continues to work in close collaboration with the port community in order to strengthen its competitive position in energy traffics. <\/p>\n

The methane tanker Puteri Saadong has berthed at the Enag\u00e1s jetty, where it unloaded 167,300 m3 of liquefied natural gas (approximately 80,000 tonnes). The unloading of this type of goods reinforces the position of the Port of Huelva as a benchmark in guaranteeing supply within the global logistics supply chains of low-carbon transition fuels. <\/p>\n

The consignment of the vessel has been entrusted to Next Maritime, which is based in Huelva, in close collaboration with the Enag\u00e1s plant in Huelva and the Port Authority, guaranteeing the success of this operation.<\/p>\n
