The works include the construction of a<\/p>\n

new railway track (V3)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

measuring 1,211 metres in length, as well as the expansion of the existing terminal by extending the platform towards the southwest. This will add 15,112 square metres to the facility, which already includes 33,750 square metres of paved surface.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc49
\nThe increase in rail freight traffic from the Port of Huelva to destinations such as Extremadura, Portugal, Seville, Madrid and Burgos supports the need to expand the current terminal. The project will enhance maritime\u2013rail intermodality and promote more sustainable freight transport to and from the region.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udc49 The current railway terminal is designed to accommodate trains up to 750 metres long and features a double-track slab design, connected to the railway infrastructure of the Huelva Port Authority and to the main road network located near the Border Control Post (PCF).<\/p>\n
