The port community of Huelva recognises with these awards the innovation, sustainability and connectivity in the logistics-port field.<\/h2>\n<\/blockquote>\n

HuelvaPort has once again recognised the innovation, sustainability and connectivity in the logistics-port field of companies and institutions in the province through the IV Logistics Awards. These awards were presented this Thursday by the Association for the Commercial Promotion of the Port of Huelva at the Port\u2019s Reception Centre.<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

With these recognitions, in 2025 the role of Enag\u00e1s, GTO-Suardiaz Group, Maghreb Container International (MCI) and the Subdelegation of the Government in Huelva is highlighted as major drivers of logistics-port development in Huelva.<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the president of HuelvaPort, Antonio Ponce, \u201cThese recognitions highlight the transformative role that companies and institutions linked to the Port of Huelva are playing in a global context that demands efficiency, sustainability and strategic vision\u201d, emphasising that \u201cthe port entity has consolidated itself as an international logistics node thanks to innovative projects and alliances that multiply its connectivity and competitiveness\u201d.<\/p>\n

For his part, the president of the Port, Alberto Santana, highlighted the importance of \u201chaving a port community that forms a consolidated, competitive business fabric with diversified activity, as demonstrated by these awards to projects that contribute to increasing maritime connectivity and to boosting our commitment to decarbonisation\u201d.<\/p>\n

Thus, in the Sustainable Logistics category, the award in this edition has been granted to Enag\u00e1s, for the advances developed at its Huelva plant, especially in relation to the supply of BioLNG, renewable gases and circular economy initiatives linked to the use of residual cold from the regasification process.<\/p>\n

A distinction that Claudio Rodr\u00edguez Su\u00e1rez, Director General of Infrastructure, received as \u201can important milestone in a process that has already been underway since 1988\u201d. Rodr\u00edguez assured that \u201cit is a recognition of very forward-looking work in many areas from a logistics point of view and also of the introduction of many technologies that have allowed us to collaborate with people in the port environment and contribute synergies\u201d. He also pointed out that \u201cat a time when the Port is a national reference in the development of green hydrogen projects, in which the transformation of that hydrogen into molecules that will become alternative fuels is required. We are delighted with the award and to be part of this port community with the future we desire\u201d.<\/p>\n

On the other hand, the HuelvaPort Award for Efficient, Intelligent and Connected Logistics has gone to the GTO-Suardiaz Group Alliance, for the recent launch of the new ro-ro maritime line between Huelva and Tanger Med, operational since March of this year, with six weekly frequencies from Monday to Saturday. This unaccompanied rolling cargo service, including dry and refrigerated cargo, has been valued by the jury as a strategic commitment that reinforces the port\u2019s synchro-modality and its integration into international logistics corridors.<\/p>\n

Esteban S\u00e1nchez Bernab\u00e9, president of Grupo Transonuba, emotionally celebrated this award \u201cwhich brings tears to our eyes, because among other things we did not expect it\u201d. An award that, he says, \u201cis the result of a project that we started two years ago to set up a ship line from Tanger Med to Huelva. This has taken us, as I say, two years of work and in the end, with Suardiaz Group, we have reached an agreement, with the support of the Port, which has been essential, and we have launched it\u201d.<\/p>\n

The Honorary Mention \u2014which pays tribute to the figure of Manuel Vega\u2014 has gone to the Strategic and Commercial Initiative: Maghreb Container International (MCI) for its key role in the development of new ocean connections from the Port of Huelva to Casablanca, the Mediterranean and markets in the Middle East, India and Pakistan, the latter destinations in alliance with Messina Line.<\/p>\n

The jury highlighted MCI\u2019s international expansion strategy and its integration with the national railway network, connecting with terminals such as Majarabique (Seville), Abro\u00f1igal and Fuenlabrada (Madrid), which significantly expands the logistical reach of the port. Gerardo Garc\u00eda Gavira, Southern Spain Manager of MCI, gratefully received the recognition, assuring that \u201cHuelva is already a key node for trade flows between Europe and Africa\u201d.<\/p>\n

Finally, as a novelty, this year the Special Jury Award has been granted, a distinction that recognises key institutional contributions to the logistics development of the port. The Subdelegation of the Government in Huelva has been awarded for its role in inter-administrative coordination, facilitating resources, streamlining processes and providing decisive support to port activity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe receive it with great satisfaction and with enormous gratitude for having been able to contribute to making the commercial flow of the Port with the Huelva-Tanger line a reality through an institutional contribution and teamwork.\u201d The Subdelegate also recalled the work of many public servants who made it possible, such as the National Police, workers from Agriculture and Fisheries, Foreign Trade or the Maritime Authority. \u201cThere is great coordination work. We always advocate for that collaboration and institutional cooperation with loyalty, respecting rigour, having to ensure that the products entering Huelva have a guarantee of safety. Achieving all this is complicated, which is why recognition like this is appreciated, recognising the work of an entire team behind making it possible for the Port of Huelva to continue shining as a powerful logistics hub with great future projection.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
