The construction work on the single access to the outer harbour is expected to be completed by the end of the summer.

This action, which has had a budget of more than 5 million euros, has consisted of the execution of an access in the vicinity of the Ingeniero Juan Gonzalo Quay, from the existing oval roundabout-type level intersection of the N-442 and H-624 roads to the town of Palos de la Frontera and the installation of a new and modern access control system. The layout will be adaptable to the new future layout of the N-442 proposed by the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility. It also includes a road with a different level crossing, due to the current railway that runs parallel to the edge of the public domain of the Port Authority of Huelva.
Likewise, in order to provide this service in terms of telecommunications, the Port of Huelva has recently put out to public tender the contracting of the single access control for the outer port for an amount of more than 985,000 euros. The single access control consists of a six lane access (three entrances and three exits), a pedestrian access and a pre-installation in both directions for signalling and control.
