The Port of Huelva has registered a total port traffic of 15.6 million tonnes during the first half of the year, which means an increase of 5.42% with regard to the same period of the previous year.

The president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, has made a very positive assessment of the first half of the year, as these figures show ‘very favourable growth prospects for the port of Huelva, which continues to increase the movement of general cargo in its commitment to the diversification of its activity, concentrated in the South Quay, where conventional, road and containerised cargo continues to increase with the Canary Islands, Northern Europe and Morocco’. Likewise, Santana indicated that the movement of liquid bulk, the main strength of the port of Huelva, is experiencing a very positive upward trend.
Specifically, the movement of liquid bulk has reached 12 million tonnes, representing an increase of 5.6%. On the other hand, solid bulks, with a movement of 2.5 million tonnes, have experienced a fall of 3.6%.
