Total port traffic handled by the Huelva Port Authority (APH) exceeded 28 million tonnes between January and November, marking growth compared with 2023.

The Huelva Port Authority (APH), with a history spanning more than 150 years, stands as one of Spain’s most significant economic and strategic engines. Since its foundation in 1873 with the creation of the Special Board of Trade and the Port of Huelva, the infrastructure has evolved into a benchmark for economic dynamism, technological innovation and sustainability.

Today, the Port of Huelva represents a key pillar in the development of the province, generating more than 67,000 direct, indirect and induced jobs. This figure accounts for around 31% of total employment in the province and contributes a gross added value of more than €4.8 billion, representing 43.5% of the provincial total.

The port also stands out nationally for its capacity in freight traffic, ranking among Spain’s leading ports in terms of liquid and dry bulk volumes. In addition, its projects focused on port-city integration and infrastructure modernisation, combined with a strong commitment to sustainability, have earned it international recognition.
