Moeve, Exolum and the Huelva Port Authority

have presented new loading and unloading infrastructures currently under construction at the Port of Huelva, aimed at improving operational capacity and supporting the new 2G biofuels plant being developed at the La Rábida Energy Park in Palos de la Frontera.
The initiatives, known as the “Muelle Sur” and “Poliducto” projects, represent a total investment of €291 million and mark a significant step forward in the companies’ commitment to operational efficiency and the transition towards sustainable energy based on green molecules.

As part of the Muelle Sur project, Moeve and Exolum have begun the construction of a new terminal for energy products at the Outer Harbour of Huelva. The development includes the construction of a new berthing quay measuring 511 metres in length, which will modernise the logistics infrastructure of the La Rábida Energy Park and optimise vessel loading and unloading operations.

The Muelle Sur project will enable combined loading and unloading operations for both raw materials and finished products, linking Moeve and Exolum facilities through new transport pipelines. These pipelines will extend from the quay to the La Rábida Energy Park and to Exolum’s storage facility in Huelva.
Once operational, the new infrastructure will become a key element of Moeve’s decarbonisation strategy, serving as an entry point for raw materials and an export point for products produced at the second-generation biofuels complex currently under construction in Palos de la Frontera.
