According to the president of the Port of Huelva, this level of activity reflects the strong dynamism of companies operating in the port area. Santana noted that “the dynamism of the companies within our port community contributes to the continued growth of the Port of Huelva and strengthens the competitiveness of the combined logistics and port services we offer.”
Santana also presented a positive assessment of the 2024 financial year, during which the port exceeded 31.1 million tonnes of total traffic, representing an increase of 3.4% compared with the previous year.
Regarding infrastructure developments discussed during the meeting, the Board highlighted the recent award of the project to expand the railway terminal at Muelle Sur to the company Asch Infraestructuras y Servicios, S.A. The project is financed through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
