👉 In his first speech as president of the organisation, following his appointment earlier this month, Juan del Olmo emphasised the strategic role of industry in Huelva as a generator of employment and economic prosperity. He also underlined the need for adequate infrastructure to ensure the successful development of major industrial projects.

Among the initiatives highlighted were the progress of the Andalusian Green Hydrogen Valley and key circular economy projects such as Moeve’s HVO plant and Atlantic Copper’s CirCular plant, which aim to promote the recovery and reuse of critical metals.
Del Olmo also pointed to the economic impact of the sector, noting that industry generated more than €12.5 million in 2023, accounting for 16% of the province’s Gross Value Added (GVA).
