The facility will incorporate one of the most advanced air cleaning systems available, consisting of capture hoods, pipework, next-generation filtration systems and a clean-air exhaust stack. This technology will allow any particles generated during the handling of raw materials to be captured, preventing dust emissions into the surrounding environment.
The project will have the capacity to process up to 60,000 tonnes of electronic materials per year, containing high concentrations of copper, gold, silver, platinum and palladium—metals considered essential for addressing major global challenges such as the energy transition and digitalisation.
In addition to its environmental and industrial impact, the project will also generate around 350 direct and indirect jobs in Huelva, promoting high-quality employment. During the construction phase, more than 600 additional jobs are expected to be created.
