B

aleària and Fred. Olsen Express have increased their activity on the route between this city and the Canary Islands with a fourth weekly connecti

on in both directions between 1 July and 30 September. During these months, the shipping companies are offering double the number of connections compared to last year, with an additional departure to the three they usually make, to meet the high demand forecast for this summer period, both for passengers and for the transport of goods between the mainland and the Canary Islands.

The route is operated by the ferry Sicilia, which has a capacity for 1,000 passengers and 400 vehicles, and the ferry Marie Curie, which can accommodate more than 800 passengers and 600 vehicles. Thus, since 1 July, departures from Huelva have been offered on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, all of them to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with the exception of the Wednesday trip, which only has a connection to Tenerife. Departures from the islands are on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays, with two trips from Tenerife on the latter day.
