The shipping companies Fred. Olsen Express and Baleària are adding the vessel Buenavista Express to the Route 1400 Huelva–Canary Islands, which will replace the ferry Sicilia starting January 24, 2026.
👉 From that date, the connection will be operated by the vessels Buenavista Express and Marie Curie, maintaining a stable, efficient service fully adapted to passenger and roll-on/roll-off cargo transport.
👉 This line, consolidated after more than seven years of joint service, has become a strategic route between the Peninsula and the Canary Islands, both for passenger mobility and Ro-Ro freight traffic.
⚓ The Buenavista Express, a Ro-Pax type vessel, has a capacity of up to 1,850 linear meters of cargo, 1,250 passengers and 390 vehicles, strengthening the quality and operational capacity of this connection.
From HuelvaPort, we positively value this addition, which reinforces the maritime connectivity of the Port of Huelva and creates new opportunities for the entire port community.
