The route will be managed by the company Maghreb Container International and will be weekly.

A delegation from the Port of Huelva was in attendance at the Logismed exhibition (International Transport and Logistics Exhibition for Africa and the Mediterranean), held between 13 and 15 June in Casablanca (Morocco), where the company Maghreb Container International SL announced that it will launch a regular weekly cabotage line between the mainland and Morocco at the end of this month, dedicated to the transport of containerised goods between the ports of Huelva and Casablanca. This maritime connection will contribute to promoting the commercial flow between the Peninsula and Morocco from the Port of Huelva, which in turn will connect with the Mediterranean through previous stopovers in the ports of Barcelona and Castellón, among others.

The president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, has assured that the launch of this container line between the Port of Huelva and Casablanca will respond to the growing demand in the import/export market for goods between Spain and North Africa, as well as offering maritime connectivity with the national Mediterranean, connections which are also of great interest for the hinterland of the Port of Huelva.

The shipping company is present in Huelva through its agent Termisur Eurocargo, with which it already operates a weekly Huelva-Canary Islands container ship.
