The Port of Huelva has handled a total volume of port traffic of more than 18.2 million tonnes between January and July this year, which represents an increase of 3.8% on the same period last year.
The president of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, highlighted the positive performance of port traffic, ‘which continues to rise in recent months, which means that the Port of Huelva has managed to diversify its activity, as can be seen in the growth that continues to be recorded in the movement of containers, general cargo and the transport of automobiles under the goods regime between the Port of Huelva and the Canary Islands’.
With regard to the nature of the traffic, the movement of liquid bulk has reached 14 million tonnes, representing an increase of 3.5%. For their part, solid bulks, with a movement of 3 million tonnes, have experienced a fall of 0.23%.
