The Port of Huelva has launched a tender for the paving works of the northern area of the South Wharf (Muelle Sur), with an investment of over €5.8 million, which will allow the expansion of the container yard and improve the efficiency of port operations.
📦 This project, covering an area of 26,320 m², includes the installation of lighting towers, security systems and perimeter cameras, optimizing storage space and working conditions at the terminal.
👉 The President of the Port of Huelva, Alberto Santana, emphasized that this project “responds to the need to continue expanding the container yard at the South Quay, in view of the growth forecasts derived from the increase in TEU traffic.”
🌍 From HuelvaPort, this investment is seen as a key step to strengthen the Port of Huelva’s logistics competitiveness and intermodal capacity, consolidating its role as a benchmark within the European Atlantic Corridor.
