HuelvaPort at the 11th International Berry Congress, successfully organized by Freshuelva
🍓🪻Once again, we attended this major event as a show of support for Huelva’s berry sector, which is of great importance to our province.
🌱 The sector combines technological innovation, sustainability, and entrepreneurial initiative, serving as a key driver of Huelva’s economic development by generating employment and wealth in the area, while also enabling the creation of a supporting industry and an extensive network of logistics and transportation services.
🌍🫐 Particularly interesting was the presentation titled “Blueberries as a Growth Driver for the Global Berry Sector: Implications for Spain,” delivered by Mario Steta, President of the International Blueberry Organization (IBO) Council, who provided a detailed analysis of the blueberry subsector and the major challenges it will face in the near future.
🚛🚢 This sector not only needs to produce with excellence but also to reach international markets quickly and safely. The competitiveness of agriculture in our province depends on efficient logistics, and from the Port of Huelva, together with its Port Community, we continue working to provide the best maritime and land connections in service of the agri-food sector.
