El contrato contempla el suministro de 23MW e incluye un certificado de origen 100% renovable de la energía recibida

Atlantic Copper has signed a new power purchase agreement (PPA) with Prosolia and MET Energía to secure the supply of 23 MW from the San Jorge photovoltaic plant in Castellón for the next 10 years.

The agreement has been developed in two phases. Firstly, MET Energía has signed an agreement with the photovoltaic company Prosolia, while in a second phase MET Energía has agreed with the Huelva-based company and its current electricity supplier, Fortia Energía, to supply 237 GWh of electricity over ten years, which represents the majority of the renewable energy produced by the photovoltaic park, estimated at 70%. Fortia is one of the main suppliers of energy to electro-intensive customers in Spain and is owned by Atlantic Copper, among other shareholders.

The PPA signed between the parties also includes the 100% renewable origin guarantee certificate that accredits the sustainable origin of the energy supplied.
