The Port of Huelva has a weekly connection with Casablanca via the MCI shipping company.

Huelva joins Morocco with a direct regular container line. It does so from this Thursday through the shipping company Maghreb Container International SL (MCI), which operates the Mediterranean-Huelva-Casablanca-Mediterranean route, as the line makes previous calls at the ports of Barcelona, Castellón and Alicante until arriving at the port of Huelva.

Morocco is the sixth international destination for exports from the Port of Huelva, where almost 500,000 tonnes of goods were destined in 2022. Among the goods exported are mainly liquid bulk. Likewise, imports from the Alaouite country moved more than 181,500 tonnes of chemical products, above all.

The company Maghreb Container International SL has begun to operate this route from this Thursday, which will be weekly, departing on Fridays from Huelva and arriving on the same day in Casablanca. The service will be carried out with the 700 TEU vessel Greta, which will transport dry and refrigerated containerised cargo. The vessel has docked this afternoon in the Port of Huelva after previous calls in different ports of the Spanish Levante. The shipping company is present in Huelva through its agent Termisur Eurocargo.
