The increases recorded in liquid bulk and general cargo are particularly notable.
Between January and March, the Port of Huelva recorded a total volume of port traffic of more than 7.8 million tonnes of goods, which represents a growth of 7.71% with regard to the same period the previous year.
During the first quarter of the year, the increase recorded in the movement of bulk liquids stands out, by 9.16%, with a volume of more than 6 million tonnes.
General cargo has also experienced an increase of 47.43%, with a movement of more than 444,600 tonnes. T The number of containers moved in Muelle Sur through the regular lines operating with Northern Europe, Morocco and the Canary Islands has exceeded 27,351, which represents an increase of 48% compared to the same period of the previous year. As for the regular Huelva-Canary Islands lines, they have moved more than 8,900 Intermodal Transport Units (ITUs), which represents an increase of 12.65% and in this first quarter more than 3,900 vehicles have been transported in goods regime, which means an increase of 65.6% in relation to the quarter of the previous year.
